Step I: Immediate Relief: To provide assistance to address the immediate needs of survivors, specifically children, by collecting cloths and blankets. In Virginia: Saturday, January 3, from 1-5 p.m. collection of Children's winter clothing and blankets at 311 W. Maple Street, Vienna, VA. (location of the Center for Persian Classical Music and the Iranian Community School) In Maryland: Sunday, January 4 from 1-5 p.m., collection of Children's winter clothing and blankets at Ritchie Park Elementary School, 1514 Dunster Road, Rockville, MD. (location of the Iranian Cultural and Educational Center) Saturday, January 10, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., again at the Ritchie Park Elementary School location. Step III: Reconstruction assistance: To provide assistance to address long term needs of survivors, specifically children, by purchasing a mobile medical unit and/or rebuilding the water infrastructure. As part of Children Of Persia's effort to achieve each of these steps, a request to the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) for a license to send monetary donations to Iran has been submitted.
