Family and Community Relief (PAST PROJECTS)
In 2021 we collaborated with United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), operating in Iran, to provide food to recently arrived refugees who were house in refugee camp in Semnan, Iran. The food distribution, directly managed by our volounteers in Iran, provided food for a month to about 400 families.
Provided personal assistive devices, school supplies in Fars, Boushehr, Kohgiloyeh, Boyerahmad, and Kermanshah provinces, as well as new shoes to two hundred children in Mamasani and Rostam counties.
Our program in the Avayeh Mandegar supported the vocational and literacy programs to mothers and children in the community of Molavi Ave./Darvazeh Ghar. With our support and funding for sewing machines, supplies, and materials, parents were provided income generation skills such as knitting, sewing, quilting, leather crafts and others to help improve the family’s economic circumstances. At the center’s request we also funded educational programs for children and their family, including life skills workshops, leadership classes, teamwork, food and nutrition, self-reliance, communications, parenting, relationships, anger management and others.
